LEAVING PARIS IN APRIL

Today was my last day in Paris until October. I slept in until 9:00, made the coffee, took a shower and packed. We needed to do laundry so we headed to the laundry mat and did a quick load of laundry in less than an hour. At the apartment it takes 3 hours to do a small load. Had lunch at Cafe Etienne Marcel, played on the internet for awhile and then headed to the metro to catch the 4 line to Gare l"Est for our overnight sleeper to Berlin. We found the train, settled into our cabin and the train left at 8:20. There was no dining car but we did manage to buy a ham sandwhich and a small bottle of wine. We were on our way to Berlin. I took the top bunk and slept relatively good. We arrived in Berlin around 11:00 am. It was cold and rainy.
